Jim has lived in Oregon since he was two years old, and has been in the hospitality industry since he was hired as a dishwasher at 15 years old. Jim soon moved into the kitchen, first as a prep cook then as a line cook. He spent the bulk of his career as a general manager and district manager for both Red Robin and Applebee's restaurants. These were great companies to work for, but wanting to find a new experience Jim decided to join a very successful cafe and catering company in downtown Portland as the Director of Operations. Jim has always loved to create recipes and play with his own ideas in the kitchen and this role was perfect for doing that. He has spent the last 8 years in sales and consulting for both Sysco and BakeMark. He enjoyed this role also because it allowed him to utilize his experience working with restaurant owners /managers; offering new ideas to enhance their menu offerings and cutting edge ideas for their operations.

Jim is happily married and has three children. The oldest of the "kids" and her husband gave birth to a little girl recently, so Jim and his wife are starting a new phase that they are ecstatic about! When he is away form work, Jim enjoys golfing with friends and going to his son's Crossfit gym for the early morning class.
